Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Jo-Ellen Darcy (fourth from right) celebrated the completion of a critical project milestone for the Tamiami Trail Modifications project alongside members of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers team at the Tamiami Trail one-mile bridge opening ceremony today in Miami, Fla. The one-mile bridge has been fully-constructed and 9.7 miles of roadway is currently being modified as part of the project. Once completed, the project will allow for increased water flows into Everglades National Park.
