NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (March 7, 2025) Sailors assigned to Arleigh Burke-Class guided missile destroyer USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79), participate in a volunteer beach clean-up at Kalathas Beach in Crete, Greece, on March 7, 2025. Oscar Austin is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations supporting U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa to defend U.S., Allied and partner interests. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore installation that enables and supports U.S., Allied, Coalition, and partner nation forces to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
