NORFOLK, Va. (March 13, 2025) Retail Services Specialist 3rd Class Naiya Prescott, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), prepares to take the Petty Officer Second Class Navy Wide Advancement Exam on the barge mess decks, March 13. The exam evaluates a Sailor’s knowledge, skills and job performance within their rating and allows them to qualify for a promotion toward the next paygrade. Bataan is currently undergoing repairs while dry docked in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard.
