2025 Iditarod Volunteers from the local community and all over the nation gather in Fairbanks, Alaska, to prepare for the start of the race. Alaska Air National Guard Airmen from the 168th Wing were among the volunteers serving as dog handlers, security and traffic coordinators to support and strengthen bonds in the tight-knit Alaskan community during the restart of the Alaska Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The wing's dedication to local support highlights the unity and strength of the Alaskan people. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Julie Avey)
