U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Justin Shuma, company commander of Combat Logistics Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, briefs Marines on the scheme of maneuver of an upcoming Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) during the Korean Marine Exchange Program (KMEP) 25.1 at U.S. Army Garrison Casey, South Korea, on March 15, 2025. A MCCRE helps commanders assess a unit’s ability to perform in combat situations through either a single exercise or a series of events. The KMEP is a semi-annual exercise that provides iterative opportunities for ROK Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps units to train together, improving their combined capabilities to deter threats and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula.
