U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Christopher Thrasher, the commanding officer of 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistic Group, Monsit Phaisanthanawat the Governor of Chanthaburi province, Col. Masaki Umetani, a representative of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force, and Rear Admiral Yothin Thanamoon, cut the ribbon during a dedication ceremony for a newly constructed building in Ban Chan Khrem, Chanthaburi province, Thailand, March 6, 2025. This dedication was held for a construction project as part of an engineering civic action program, which not only enhances Thailand’s infrastructure but also provides an opportunity to strengthen bonds between the United States, Thailand, and Japan.
