ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 11, 2025) - Operations Specialist 3rd Class Teisjah Carney, from Atlanta, Georgia (left) and Chief Operations Specialist Tyree Morgan, from Chicago, pose for their picture to be taken after Carney’s frocking on board USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28). Fort Lauderdale is underway conducting advanced tactical training, which includes rigorous multi-domain exercises designed to enhance warfighting effectiveness and interoperability. Fort Lauderdale is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, a force uniquely positioned to deter aggression, project power through presence abroad, and execute contingency missions with its integrated Marine Corps team in support of U.S. strategic interests. The IWO ARG is comprised of its flagship namesake Iwo Jima, the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17), and San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28).
