Senior NCO's from HCB lead as members of a board to determine the Soldier and NCO of the Quarter on Wed., Feb. 5. These boards test Soldier knowledge on a variety of topics and act as an opportunity for a Soldier to show growth and leadership.
From Feb. 3-7, 2025, U.S. Army Garrison Fort George G. Meade Headquarters Command Battalion (HCB) celebrated "Origin Week", honoring the establishment of the battalion in 1971.
The battalion ensures Soldier readiness and provides quality support services, law enforcement, military working dog teams, force protection and base support operations to more than 12,000 service members, 35,000 civilians and 60,000 family member and retirees of the Fort Meade community. The unique and diverse missions of Headquarters Command Battalion make it one of the premier, multifaceted ballations in the U.S. Army.
