From 2003 to 2013, all of Yuma County, Arizona was within the then-new 7th Congressional District represented by the late Raul Grijalva, who succumbed to cancer on March 13, 2025.
During the years U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) was within his district, Grijalva visited multiple times to visit test sites and learn about the post’s vital mission on behalf of the national defense.
