U.S. Marine Corps combat engineers with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, smooth out layers of concrete in a Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery after a simulated attack during Freedom Shield 25 at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, March 11, 2025. Marines from the 1st MAW participated in FS25 by responding to various exercise scenarios featuring live, virtual, and field-based training, augmenting 8th FW capabilities and exemplifying joint interoperability in contingency operations.
