U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment conducted an airborne operation and tactical exercise March 18, 2025, to prepare for Swift Response 2025, a multinational training event designed to enhance readiness and interoperability.
The exercise, held at Aviano Air Base, concluded with a foreign jump wing exchange with Hungary’s 1st Para Company, 88th Ranger Battalion. The ceremony marked a commitment to strengthening airborne interoperability and reinforcing multinational partnerships within the NATO alliance.
The 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment is part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe. The brigade provides rapidly deployable forces to the U.S. European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the 173rd Airborne Brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to enhance cooperation and bolster collective defense.
