Command Sgt. Maj. Wesley Townsend, senior enlisted advisor, Special Troops Battalion, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, passes the guidon to Master Sgt. Peter Landry, secretary of the general staff NCO, during his relinquishment of responsibility ceremony at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Mar. 18, 2025. Townsend is retiring from the Army after 24 years of service and was also awarded a Legion of Merit Medal during the ceremony.
