The 143rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) honored its 2025 Best Warrior winners during a March 13, 2025, ceremony at Camp Blanding, Fla.,. The Reserve Soldiers came out on top in three categories. Second from left, U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Daniel Gaffney, a platoon leader representing the 642nd Regional Support Group, earned the top officer position. At center, Staff Sgt. Jehoshua Newell, a platoon sergeant representing the 641st Regional Support Group, achieved the top NCO spot. Second from right, Spc. Beriah Yisrael, a driver representing the 642nd RSG, attained the top enlisted title. All the troops who participated in the week’s grueling contest were recognized for their efforts, dedication and endurance. Col. Stephen M. Pazak, the 143rd ESC deputy commanding officer, and Command Sgt. Maj. Michael C. Gainey, the 143rd ESC’s command sergeant major, led the ceremony and presented the awards.
