COMMANDER, FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 24, 2025) - Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), Naval Facilities Command Far East (NAVFAC), and Defense Logisitics Agency (DLA)-contracted personnel began setting up a new LED display outside the Community Readiness Center Monday, March 24, 2025. This is the first installation of four custom-made marquees hand-built in Hiroshima. The project is part of a more than half million-dollar initiative scheduled to promote command safety and community information. Two additional marquees are scheduled to be placed near the Fleet Recreation Center and in the Ikego Heights Family Housing Area with the final marquee set to replace the aging display near Carney Gate.
