Three U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 8th Fighter Wing and one U.S. Marine Corps Marine assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, maintain a defensive posture while securing an area in a simulated ground attack during Freedom Shield 25 at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, March 14, 2025. FS25 is a defense-oriented exercise featuring live, virtual, and field-based training that engages alliance forces and governmental agencies across the Korean Peninsula. Throughout FS25, 8th FW personnel trained side-by-side with combined and joint partners, solidifying communication and coordination procedures and helping cement the preparation of the combined military force in the Korean theater of operations.
