U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Dixie Wilson, a services specialist assigned to the 165th Mission Support Group,165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, poses for a photo during Patriot 25 at the Guardian Centers in Perry, Georgia, March 26, 2025. Wilson, a member of the 165th's fatality search and recovery team, trained alongside interagency partners to enhance her readiness for real-world disaster responses. "This exercise prepared me by giving me a firsthand look at how logistics work in real-world operations and what challenges we could face in an actual disaster," said Wilson. “ Getting suited up in hazmat suits, working at a simulated collapsed building site, and learning alongside agencies I’d be with during an emergency has made me more confident about my role.” Patriot 25 is a full-scale disaster response exercise focused on strengthening interoperability, communication, and coordination across military and civilian agencies during large-scale emergency scenarios.
