The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District Repair Fleet, known as the Swiss Army Knife of Lake Erie, helped the district team in preparation for dredging season by clearing the berm of the confined disposal facility, CDF, of overgrown grass, bushes, and trees, Lorain, Ohio, Mar. 25, 2025.
Utilizing typical landscaping equipment along with chainsaws, the Repair Fleet crew was able to complete the mission and provide more visibility and access to the cdf to the USACE team and others involved in the dredging process. (U.S. Army Courtesy Photo)
