ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 20, 2025) – U.S. Navy Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Billy Watson, from Chicago, Illinois, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103), removes the chock and chains from a MH-60R Seahawk assigned to the “Vipers” of Helicopter Maritime Strike (HSM) Squadron 48.5 prepares to take off. USS Truxtun is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and defend U.S., Allied and partner interest in the region.
