U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Loreysha Baez, a search and extraction medic assigned to the 156th Medical Group, Detachment 1, Puerto Rico Air National Guard, rappels down to conduct a rescue operation in a hot zone during a collective training exercise at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, Feb. 26, 2025. The exercise provided service members assigned to the 156th Medical Group, and the Puerto Rico Army National Guard the opportunity to exchange knowledge and train together by simulating a mass casualty incident, ensuring participants understood their roles and responsibilities to provide on-site medical care during CBRN incidents and disasters.
