Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test and Engineering (RDT&E) Peter Reddy visited Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) to understand how the command works to advance energetics in support of our warfighters. NSWC IHD plays an essential role in the Department of Defense’s energetics organic industrial base and drives national RDT&E efforts by developing advanced components based on innovative materials and concepts. While visiting, Reddy met command scientists and engineers advancing science and technology efforts to meet growing energetics demands and address supply chain concerns.
