ANNAPOLIS, Md. (April 1, 2025) Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth meets with U.S. Naval Academy Superintendent Vice Adm. Yvette Davids during a visit to the Academy. Hegseth discussed key defense priorities and the Academy’s role in developing the next generation of naval leaders. As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
