A Storm Flag 25-05 patch is worn during a KC-135 Stratotanker simulated combat search and rescue mission conducted over Louisiana, March 23, 2025. The mission flown by U.S. Air Force Capt. Hayden Molitor and Capt. Joshua Barneyhouse, 50th Air Refueling Squadron pilots, and aerial identification performed by Tech. Sgt. Nick Sowder, Staff Sgt. Ryan MacAdam, Staff Sgt. Juan Ramirez Ceballos, 50th ARS boom operators, served as a proof-of-concept to establish the KC-135’s added use as a support element to the U.S. Air Force’s extensive CSAR fleet.
