Sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carl M. Levin (DDG 120) heave additional foul-weather mooring lines during Hurricane Exercise (HURREX) 2025 on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), April 2, 2025. HURREX allows Navy and Air Force activities at Navy Region Hawaii, JBPHH and Pacific Missile Range Facility to review, exercise and validate their response plans and operational capabilities as they pertain to the threat of hurricanes and effects of severe weather. Commander, Navy Region Hawaii is the regional coordinator for all shore-based naval personnel and shore activities in Hawaii and enables naval forces and fleet operations.
