Lt. Gen. Joel P. Vowell, Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Pacific , visits Director Suzanne Puanani Vares-Lum at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS), in Honolulu, Hawaii, April 3, 2025. During this visit, they discussed opportunities for DKI APCSS and USARPAC to cooperate in the future. LTG Vowell also spent time with the U.S. Army War College Fellows discussing their research and the way ahead for future USAWC Fellows at DKI APCSS. DKI APCSS is a U.S. Department of Defense institute that addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the United States and Asia-Pacific nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and workshops, both in Hawaii and throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
