The Philippine Army 102nd and 71st Infantry Battalions and U.S. Army Bravo Company, Task Force Gimlet, 2nd Light Brigade Combat Team conducted a subject matter expert exchange focusing on squad live-fire exercises in support of Salaknib 2025 on Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, March 31, 2025. Salaknib, which means “shield” in Ilocano, a language native to the Philippines, is an annual bilateral exercise aimed at strengthening the defense partnership between the two nations.
