Col. Roger E. Williams Jr., commander, 145th Airlift Wing, and Lt. Col. Robert Andrews, chief of Wing Intelligence, present a shadow box, made by Andrews, to a very surprised Brig. Gen. Tony McMillan, March 25, 2013. McMillan was commander of the 145th Airlift Wing from Dec. 22, 2004 to Sept. 30, 2012. Occupational badges were collected by airmen from the 145th North Carolina Air National Guard. A small replica of C-130 Hercules aircraft tail number 1458 was also included as a tribute to MAFFS-7, which crashed during his command. The U.S. and N.C. flags last flown over the base while Brig. Gen. McMillan was commander were strategically placed in the center of the shadow box. For most service members, the shadow box represents their career. This shadow box was given in recognition of the service Brig. Gen. McMillan gave to the airmen of the 145th Airlift Wing. (Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
