U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Michael Farnan, a defense council judge advocate for the National Capital Region at Marine Corps Base Quantico, addresses the audience after being awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal during an award ceremony on MCB Quantico, April 10, 2025. Farnan and two other Marine officers performed life-saving actions to an unconscious woman at a bus stop in Phoenix, Feb. 7 2025. Farnan immediately called emergency medical services while the other two Marines monitored her condition and applied an opioid antagonist.
