ASAN, Guam (April 10, 2025) - Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Rear Adm. Izuru Ikeuchi, commander, Amphibious and Mine Warfare Force, meets with Rear Adm. Greg Huffman, commander, Joint Task Force–Micronesia, at JRM headquarters April 10. These engagements reflect the enduring strength of a 65-year U.S.-Japan alliance founded on trust, mutual respect, and shared values. As the U.S. Navy celebrates 250 years of service this year, the alliance stands as a living testament to that legacy strengthening bonds, advancing cooperation, and building joint capabilities that shape a more secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
