Dr. Sarah Anderko, center, a dentist assigned to the prosthodontics department at USS Osborne Dental Clinic, receives The Society of Federal Health Professionals (AMSUS) Dentist Award in recognition of her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the mission of advancing federal healthcare at the Gaylord Resort in National Harbor, Maryland, March 6, 2025. Anderko was presented the award by Rear Adm. Robert Hawkins, right, Chief, Nurse Corps, Defense Health Agency director for Strategy, Plans and Analytics, Education and Training, and John M. Cho, left, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMSUS, retired U.S. Army Brig. General. Anderko, a native of Lake Forest, Illinois, was competitively selected for the award for achieving record productivity and significant cost savings while improving patient care, operational dental readiness, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation with the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. USS Osborne is located on Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Great Lakes and is a merged facility with the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. USS Osborne Dental Clinic provides a full spectrum of dental treatment to more than 40,000 Navy recruits annually and is part of the nation’s first fully integrated VA/DoD facility.
