U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agent Deliris Montanez (right) receives the Community Service Award from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Deputy Division Chief Michael E. Przybyl, March 1, 2013. Montanez won the award for her involvement with Dance For Dreams Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to use the art of dance as a vehicle to improve the lives of young people in El Paso, Texas, and to increase their sense of community. Montanez, who has been an agent with CBP for 13 years is assigned to the El Paso, Texas station, is also a lieutenant colonel in the U. S. Army Reserves. Montanez of Caguas, Puerto Rico is scheduled to serve with United States Forces Japan to complete her monthly drill obligation and annual training with the reserves all at one time. Montanez is to serve at Yokota Air Base, Japan for her reserve commitment.
