U.S. Marines pose for a photo after the Marine Corps Championships Award Ceremony hosted by Weapons Training Battalion at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, April 18, 2025. The M1 Garand rifle was presented to the first-place competitor who attained the highest aggregate score of the Individual Rifle Match and the Individual Pistol Match and then passed off to the “High Tyro” by that competitor to encourage new competitors to participate in the Competition in Arms Program.
