250421-N-ML137-1096 BARRIGADA, Guam (April 21, 2025) U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Jon Stubbs, director of Army National Guard, and Command Sgt. Maj. James (Brian) Kendrick, senior enlisted leader of ANG, present notes of commendation to Capt. Tom Borgonia, commander of Security Forces VII Team Binadu with Guam National Guard, and 1st Sgt. Rudel Retuyan, SEL of SECFOR VII Team Binadu with GUNG, at the Barrigada Readiness Center, April 21. Team Binadu was the recipient of the Alexander Hamilton Award, which was the first time in the award’s history that a non-artillery or air defense unit had been selected for the award. Stubbs and Kendrick visited Guam to engage with local military and government leaders about the evolving operational environment and mission capabilities as well as tour various National Guard facilities on the island that support the Guam Defense System.
