Eighteen Nebraska Army National Guard Soldiers and four Czech Soldiers perform treatment and stabilized casualties during the annual state Best Warrior Competition, April 17, 2025, at Ashland Training Site in Ashland, Nebraska. The event simulated a casualty scenario with an emphasis on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. TCCC is the military guideline for trauma life support in pre-hospital combat medicine, designed to reduce preventable deaths while continuing to maintain operation success. The Best Warrior Competition determines the state’s top Soldier and noncommissioned officer. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Lauren Behn)
