JOINT EXPEDITIONARY BASE LITTLE CREEK-FORT STORY, Va. (April 25, 2025) — The Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) is moored at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story as it prepares for Exercise Chesapeake 2025. Exercise Chesapeake showcases U.S. Navy and Marine Corps integration and the strength of the U.S.-French naval partnership, delivering combined lethality to deter aggression and defend the homeland. The exercise, taking place off the coast of North Carolina, underscores the commitment to interoperability, maritime readiness, and shared values, advancing joint amphibious capabilities in line with the National Defense Strategy.
