Afghan and coalition security force members navigate through mountainous terrain in Shah Wali Kot district, Kandahar province, during an operation March 29, 2013. The operation led to the arrest of a Taliban leader that is believed to be responsible for multiple insurgent operations throughout northern Kandahar against Afghan and coalition forces. He allegedly has significant experience constructing improvised explosive devices, and has directed his subordinates to use his IEDs in insurgency operations.
