An explosive ordnance disposal technician with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 6, Platoon 602, is recovered during cast and recovery operations with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 26. EODMU 6 is assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.1 and provides mine countermeasure, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage diving, counterterrorism, and force protection for the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
