Augusta, Ga., native, Staff Sgt. Lynn Pollard, an intelligence analyst assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, completes a word search exercise during the Mental Fitness Obstacle Course #2 portion of a Leader Development Course April 4 near the Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness Training Facility at Fort Hood, Texas. The CSF2-LDC obstacle course encouraged the students to use their newly taught skills to complete various stations in which contain physical and cognitive tasks. Some physical tasks are push-ups, box-jumps, and Fireman’s carry, and some cognitive tasks are thread-the-needle, spot the difference and a word search. (Photo by Sgt. John Couffer, 1BCT, 1st Cav.
