An MH-60S Knighthawk, attached to the "Sea Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 22, performs a verticle replenishment with the Fast Combat Support Ship USNS Arctic and the Nimitz-class nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman. Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing 3 are underway on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Maritime Security Operations. MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations. These operations seek to disrupt violent extremists' use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other materials.
