Brig. Gen. Craig Q. Timberlake presents Sgt. Maj. Robert L. Caldwell the Legion of Merit Medal March 29 during Caldwell’s retirement ceremony at Camp Hansen. Caldwell was recognized for 30 years of service to the Marine Corps and nation during the ceremony. Timberlake is the deputy commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force and commanding general of 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade.
