U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Travis Miller, 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron loadmaster, loads equipment into a C-17 Globemaster III for an airdrop over Afghanistan, March 30, 2013. The loadmaster performs calculations for cargo and passenger placement in order to keep aircraft within permissible center of gravity limits throughout flight. Loadmasters ensure cargo is placed on aircraft in such a way as to prevent overloading sensitive sections of the airframe and cargo floor. Miller is deployed from the 15th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Dennis J. Henry Jr.)
