Sailors and Marines man the rails aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) as it sails into Hong Kong Victoria Harbor. Peleliu's port visit represents an opportunity to promote peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, demonstrate commitment to regional partners and foster growing relationships. Peleliu is the flagship for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility with amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) and amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47), and embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
