7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command Headquarters and Headquarters Company conduct a change of command and change of responsibility ceremony in Grafenwoehr, Germany, April 18, 2013. The change of command ceremony is a military tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from one commanding officer to another. The passing of color, standards, or ensigns from an outgoing commander to an incoming one ensures that the unit and its soldiers is never without official leadership, a continuation of trust, and also signifies and allegiance of soldiers to their unit's commander.
