Master Gunnery Sgt. Donald Iskerka, the operations chief for the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, receives an American flag from Col. Scott F. Benedict, the unit's commanding officer, during his retirement ceremony Apr. 19, 2013. Iskerka, a native of Wayne, Mich., joined the Marine Corps on June 11, 1986 and is retiring after 27 years of service.
