U.S. Army Col. David Grosso, the Fort Carson garrison commander, thanks Colorado Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog following the ceremonial puck drop between the two teams' captains during the second annual Military Appreciation Night at the Pepsi Center in Denver, April 21, 2013. The ceremonial puck drop is similar to the first pitch in baseball. The Colorado Avalanche had five Service members from each branch of the military stand on the red carpet to honor them during the pregame show.
