Staff Sgt. Marcelino Barajas Jr., attached to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Battalion Landing Team Weapons Company, explains the functions of his assault rifle to a "Tiger Cruise" participant aboard amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa. Tarawa's 2008 "Tiger Cruise" is a Navy sponsored program in which friends and family members of Sailors and Marines ride the ship during its last leg of deployment from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, to San Diego. Tarawa and the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are returning from a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific in support of Maritime Security Operations.
