Sailors assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Anchorage (LPD 23) take turns riding a mechanical salmon at the Dock on the Block party in downtown Anchorage. The city of Anchorage and various sponsors provided free food, rides and entertainment for Sailors and their families along 6th Avenue. Anchorage is currently moored in its namesake city of Anchorage, Alaska for its commissioning ceremony scheduled to take place May 4.
