U.S. Marine Corps. Lt. Col. Kevin Collins, commanding officer of Combat Logistics Battalion 26, 26th MEU, gives a liberty brief to U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, on the flight deck of the USS San Antonio (LPD 17), at sea, May 7, 2013. The 26th MEU is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations aboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group. The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
