Sgt. David Bradford (left) teaches how to properly perform a combative move to Pfc. Courtney Lutz (top) and Spc. Jodelana Birchfield May 5 at Camp Sherman in Chillicothe. Both soldiers are members of the Chillicothe-based 1194th Engineer Company. The soldiers of the 1194th were learning close quarters combatives as part of their regular drill weekend. Combatives are used to teach soldiers the skills necessary to defeat an enemy in close quarters combat. (Ohio National Guard photo by Spc. Brian Johnson, 1194th Engineer Company)
