Brigadier Gen. Vincent Coglianese, the commanding general for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and regional authority for five Marine Corps Installations in southwestern United States, watches his golf ball after teeing off at the first hole during the Commanding General’s 2nd Invitational Golf Tournament at the Marine Memorial Golf Course here, May 14, 2013. The tournament provided a unique opportunity for Marines and sailors to network and share experiences with business and community leaders as well as golf industry experts. Each of the 18 holes on the course gave the participants challenges, varying from wearing a flak jacket to playing with alcohol impairment goggles. The intent of the invitational was to highlight facilities aboard the base that are accessible to civilians and provide information about the installation to invited guests.
