Families and friends welcome home their Marines and sailors after an eight-month deployment with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The battalion has been deployed aboard USS Greenbay, USS Peleliu and USS Dubuque as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts. The 15th MEU is a Marine Air Ground Task Force comprised of approximately 2,400 personnel.
